Acoustic & Intumescent Putty Pads These Intumescent Putty Pads are made from a red, flexible silicone-based polymer that stays soft and malleable over time. They will not harden, crack, or dry out, providing a long-lasting solution for fire and acoustic protection. The intumescent properties activate at 200°C, restricting the passage of fire and smoke. Ideal for external sockets, these pads help achieve the required fire and acoustic ratings as specified in the 2006 Building Regulations, Approved Document Part E and Part B, sections 7 and 7.12b.
